Rare cast bronze plaque with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Emblematic seal/motto in excellent unused condition . Measures 9-1/8″ in diameter and very heavy. We will be listing other notable collegiate schools of learning. This plaque most likely cast by Sargent Hardware and may have been a salesman sample or just new old stock . There is one small screw hole on the face top edge and two screw holes on back side for mounting on wood. These plaques may have been used for making award plaques when teams won yearly events and mounted on wood plaques displayed in school hallways.
