Description
Early hand forged iron bracket with curled ends. Not sure exactly what it was used for but the best idea I have heard for pieces like this piece is a brace for the small old stove pipes that were made of tin and the early stoves had short sections of tin pipe and needed a number of these brackets to brace the pipe from falling , wire would wrap around the pipe to the curled ends. Also have seen similar pieces used for supporting a musket/rifle when being fired. See photos for measurements. ONE AVAILABLE
